Bucketlist Lodge has some of the best Whitetail Deer hunting in all of Saskatchewan.
Our area consists of 1,000,000 plus acres of farmland and provincial forests. The fringe area where the farmland and forest meet give our deer the best of both worlds. They have the food needed to grow large antlers and bodies and the solitude of the provincial forest to grow to a mature age. The typical antler size for mature deer in our area ranges from 135” to 200+ inches (B&C). The body weights range from 180 to 300 + pounds.
We operate on a two client to one guide ratio. The stands we hunt from are elevated, enclosed, and insulated to keep our hunters comfortable during their hunt. We also supply hunters with heaters and propane tanks for those hunters looking to stay extra cozy. Where cell service is unavailable, hunters are supplied with two-way radios to stay in contact with their guide.
With the blessing of our hunters, we are invoking a moratorium on bucks that measure below 150” (there will be exceptions for first year hunters and mature hunters 70 years of age and older).
Another change for the 2017 season has to do with hunters who wound a deer that we are unable to retrieve (every effort will be made to retrieve wounded animals). In the instance where we cannot find the wounded animal that hunter will be able to harvest a cull deer that is selected by their guide. We encourage hunters to only take shots that they are comfortable making.
Our deer hunts are 6 -day hunts. Hunters arrive at camp on Sunday afternoon and start their hunt on Monday. If needed hunters can hunt all day Saturday before their leaving for home.
